|Animal Health Clinic|
The former Beef and Sheep facility will become the new Animal Health Clinic.
Sod turning for the building was in late April and was followed by demolition of some areas of the former building. The 14,531 sq. ft. facility is expected to open in early 2018.
Total cost of the clinic is $7.1 million Lakeland received $2,487,500 in federal funding for the clinic through the Post-Secondary Institutions Strategic Investment Fund. This contribution is part of the more than $6 million already in place.
The remaining $1 million will be raised through Leading. Learning.The Lakeland Campaign. Our campaign goal is to expand student success, modernize our Student-Managed Farm – Powered by New Holland facilities, and grow applied research at Lakeland
The new facility will allow Lakeland to double enrolment in the animal health technology and veterinary medical assistant programs.
