Allen holds a BSc specializing in zoology, with minors in chemistry and philosophy, and an MSc in Zoology, both from the University of Alberta. About Me:
While at Lakeland College, Allen has continued his desire for lifelong learning to become a certified Master Scuba Diver trainer with PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, and a first aid and CPR instructor with EMP Canada. When Allen is not in his office working with students and faculty to continuously improve our service to our learners and industry, he enjoys spending time teaching our students toxicology in our degree program, teaching them first aid and CPR, and teaching scuba to the community and as part of the Lakeland College Scuba Club, in the pool or a local lake, typically to students in firefighting/emergency services and Adventure Tourism students. What Allen enjoys most about Lakeland College is it's people. "It's energizing to see students grow, mature and flouish academically and personally. It's infectious to be around so many faculty and staff who are dedicated to do their best to see this happen."
