Macroeconomics in London, England - May 2011
Lakeland invites you to study abroad in London, England

How does studying Macroeconomics in London England for two weeks in May, 2011 sound?

We are offering all business students the opportunity to study your required 1st year Macroeconomics course (EC211) either at Lakeland College in the Winter Semester (Jan-April) during its regular schedule or to take it overseas in Jolly Old England the first two weeks of May in an accelerated format.

Live the Learning with Real Life Experiences!

Classes for the two weeks will be a mixture of lecture, group work, guest speakers and educational excursions to economic points of interest such as the London Stock Exchange, Lloyds of London, the Bank of England, or to London based international companies (i.e. DeBeers, BBC, Virgin Airlines ).

But don’t worry we will leave plenty of time to do some sightseeing!!

Fully experience Studying in London as a local student does

We are working with Regents College (www.regents.ac.uk) to deliver this course. Students (and your Lakeland College instructor) will stay in Regent’s residences, utilize their classrooms, computer labs, cafeteria, recreation facilities etc. just as any other Regents student would.

A cost effective way to learn and experience!

The tuition cost is no different than the rate you would normally pay. We will be working hard to keep the additional travel costs for this Study Abroad experience to around $2,800 which will cover off flights, accommodations, educational tours, transfers and insurance, use of all Regent’s College facilities, all breakfasts and lunches.

During the school year we will be running fundraising events and may be available for partial scholarships which we are hoping to then bring down the final cost of this experience to the student to around $2,000.
