What supplies do I need for AHT program? View More ∇
Coveralls:
  • Two pairs of coveralls. One pair Lakeland College coveralls – short or long sleeved – which we will arrange for purchase in September.
  • A second pair, short or long sleeved coveralls. Any style, color, or bib overalls, can be worn, however if clothing is exposed, that clothing will not be permitted to be worn in class.
Lab Coats:
  • Two lab coats for the year. Any color and style, but all clothing underneath must be covered. We recommend that you have at least one that is long sleeve.
  • We will be ordering lab coats within the first week of school, if you want to just bring one with you.
Stethoscope:
  • We will be placing an order for stethoscopes (Litman II – we get a group discount rate) the first week of class.  You may wait to then. If you wish to purchase one sooner, please ensure it is a good quality stethoscope. 
Boots:
  • You require one pair of washable rubber soled steel toed boots and one pair of rubber boots.
Scrubs:
  • A surgical scrub set will be ordered for the class at the end of your first year of studies.  The money will be collected at the beginning of 1st semester, when the rep is here with samples.
Textbooks:
  • A list will be available at the beginning of the school year. We do have a mandatory printing fee of approximately $150 for note packages which will be collected at the beginning of your first semester.

AAAHT Membership:
  • As per ABVMA regulations, all AHT students must be registered student members with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association.  Registration forms will be handed out and collected during the first week of school.  The ABVMA requires a photocopy of a passport or birth certificate for registration.  Please bring this with you.
