Crop Technology - Overview
Gain knowledge and skills in agronomy, production, precision farming and agribusiness management classes.
You’ll also learn by going to industry conferences/workshops and hearing from local producers in panel discussions.
Your real world, hands-on classroom comes in your 2nd year where you’ll put theory into practice on the Student-Managed Farm (SMF)–powered by New Holland.
The SMF crop team makes decisions for the crop side of the Lakeland College farm. You will have a specific role in operations, production, marketing, finance, research, stewardship or leadership.
As a graduate, you’re prepared to run your own farm or work in the retail agriculture sector.
