Whether you intend to work on a farm or ranch, or pursue a career in the agri-retail sector, it’s important to have a working knowledge of modern agriculture equipment that makes precision farming possible. With Lakeland College Student Managed Farm – Powered by New Holland, you’ll be learning on innovative, safe and performance driven equipment that makes your Live the Learning experience very powerful.
 
You’ll have access to some leading-edge New Holland equipment including a T6050 Tractor, a WorkMaster75 Tractor, an L223 Skid Steer Loader and a BR7090 round baler. Lakeland also has four Rustler UVs and will be getting a new combine in 2012. This list doesn’t include the New Holland demo equipment that is available throughout your college year.

It's Your Decision

As an animal science technology or crop technology student, you’re part of a student team that makes production and management decisions and puts them to test on Lakeland College’s 1,700 acre Student Managed Farm-Powered by New Holland.

You’ll participate in meetings, set goals, follow a budget, and do some of the hands-on work all with the goal of running a profitable and sustainable agri-business. Then you’ll present your results to industry.
