Love to crunch numbers but don't want to be in school long-term? Then Lakeland's one-year accounting technician certificate program is for you.
You'll focus is on technical accounting skills that are in demand specifically from the accounting industry and generally in the business sector.
As a graduate, you're work-force ready to work independently as a bookkeeper/accountant in a small or medium-sized business. You'll also be ready to work in a large company or public practice where you might specialize in a broad accounting area such as a payroll clerk, accounts payable/receivable clerk or accounting technician.
If this certificate whets your interest in going further, you could move into one of Lakeland's two-year business administration diploma majors, a four-year business degree and even on to an accounting designation such as CGA, CMA or CA.
