You'll focus is on technical accounting skills that are in demand specifically from the accounting industry and generally in the business sector.
As a graduate, you're work-force ready to work independently as a bookkeeper/accountant in a small or medium-sized business. You'll also be ready to work in a large company or public practice where you might specialize in a broad accounting area such as a payroll clerk, accounts payable/receivable clerk or accounting technician.
If this certificate whets your interest in going further, you could move into one of Lakeland's two-year business administration diploma majors, a four-year business degree and even on to an accounting designation such as CGA, CMA or CA.
