Sign Language and Deaf Studies Certificate (Part-Time) U of A

The Sign Language and Deaf Studies Certificate instructs individuals in American Sign Language and the Deaf Culture. This certificate provides graduates with the academic prerequistes to apply for the Sign Language Interpretation Diploma.

Earn your certificate through part-time evening courses offered at the University of Alberta in Edmonton.

Students with ASL skills will be accessed for advanced credits.

Registration Information

  1. You must apply to Lakeland College before you register.
  2. Once you have applied and been accepted, you then register for classes. You can register online (or click the link on the right) or  download this registration form and return by mail or fax (address and fax number are on the form) 
Note: You should register at least 2 weeks before classes start

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
If you withdraw two full days before the course starts, you'll receive a 100% refund. If you withdraw after the first class and before the second class, you'll receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds after the second class.
