Musical Theatre FUN- damentals

Can't stop the music, music, music!

Students  wishing to continue their musical and theatre experience - or try it out for the first time - can take part in our new set of post production classes. Junior and Senior Triple Threat students, will continue to meet and prepare musical numbers from well- known musicals. Under the instruction of  Kathryn Edwards, some groups may have the opportunity to enter the Lloydminster & District Kiwanis Music Festival and participate in other community events while continuing their music and theatre training.

Musical Theatre FUN-damentals Junior QDRA 123

  • For ages 9 to 12
  • learn and perform in an ensemble setting
  • build skills including various singing techniques, choreography, improvisation and scene analysis specific for a particular piece of music.

Musical Theatre FUN-damentals Senior QDRA 124

  • For ages 13 to 17
  • learn and perform in an ensemble setting
  • build skills in various singing techniques, choreography and scene analysis specific for a piece of music

Instructor: Kathryn Edwards

Triple Threat Theatre for kids Instructor Kathryn EdwardsKathryn Edwards is a former music student at Lakeland College.

She completed a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance at the University of Regina. She also has extensive drama training. She teaches both drama and musical theatre classes and directs full length musical productions. Her most recent Lakeland production was LIttle Mermaid Jr in February 2017.

Many of Kathryn's students have received awards, scholarships and provincial recommendations through the Kiwanis Lloydminster and District Music Festival. Some have gone on to pursue music at post-secondary institutions.

Your registration is not complete until payment in full has been received. All payments for the Musical Theatre FUN - damentals are due with registration.

First right of refusal for  class times is provided to all returning students. Registrations for new students are date and time stamped. New registrations and students will be taken based on a first come, first served basis.

Please leave cell phones, iPhones, iPads, video games and all other electronic devices at home.



Withdrawal & Refund Policy 

·         100% refund if you withdraw two full working days prior to the start date of your lessons. 

·         No refunds if withdrawal is later. 

·         You must notify Lakeland College if you withdraw from the course. Non-attendance does not constitute notice of withdrawal.
