Driver Training

Get your Class 1 or 3 in Alberta or Saskatchewan with one of our qualified instructors for hands-on one-on-one training.  Cost and length of training depends on you.

What we offer you:
  • preparation for pre-trip inspection 
  • Lakeland College truck and trailer for the one and a half hour pre-trip/road test
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Full Class 5 driver's license
Before the road test you must have:
  • commercial medical exam
  • learner's permit

Alberta Driver Education

Lakeland College fees:
  • Driver Training at $140 per hour
  • Q-endorsement course $230, Check the Q-endorsement course for information.
Additional fees:
  • Commercial medical exam $50 - $100
  • Learner's permit $20 (purchase at registries office)
  • Road test $150 (do not purchase until instructor requests you to)

Saskatchewan Drive Education

Lakeland College fees:
  • Driver Training at $140 per hour
Additional fees:
  • Commercial medical exam $50 - $100
  • Permits (road test/air brakes/learner's ) $65 (purchase at Saskatchewan Government Insurance [SGI])

You must complete a Commercial Medical Exam in Saskatchewan and have the certificate submitted to SGI before proceeding with driver training. SGI requires this documentation in order for you to write your learner's permit examination.
