Applicants must satisfy two criteria

1. Graduates of the following two-year diploma programs may be eligible for direct entry:
  • Emergency Services Technology
  • Emergency Medical Technologist
  • EMT-P
    • Advanced Care Paramedic
    • Correctional Service Diploma
    • Policing Program Diploma
    • Corrections Program Diploma
    • NFPA Certification to 1,200 hours
2. Applicants must provide a letter of employment verifying that they have five years full time work experience in the emergency services industry.

Notes:
  • Applicants should submit documentation (official transcripts, certificates) verifying a minimum of 1,200 hours of emergency services training.
  • Advance Credit - Lakeland College strives to award maximum transferability of courses from other Post Secondary Institutions to applicants.

Applicants must satisfy two criteria:

1. Candidates will be assessed on the basis of transfer credits and official transcripts, totaling 1,200 hours of emergency services training. Up to 600 hours of approved in-service training may be considered. Students presenting in-service training for consideration will be required to supply proof of completion, including the number of hours of training and detailed description of training. A course syllabus may be required for evaluation.

2. A minimum five years full-time service in an emergency services agency

Graduation Requirements

Students who successfully complete 25 modules covering a range of core and non-core competencies, 800 practicum credit hours and submit a written project report will be eligible to receive a Bachelor of Applied Business: Emergency Services.

This program takes approximately three years to complete. The maximum time to complete the program is 5 years.
