Unique Combination of Emergency Medicine & Firefighting 
You're ready to be a first responder. Study both emergency medical response and firefighting in this only full-time diploma course in Canada. You'll be prepared for a hot job in fire service or pre-hospital care.Start with core training in both emergency medical and firefighting, then specialize in one of the two. Training is International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and ProBoard accredited giving you the prerequisites to other NFPA professional standards training.
In the medical concentration... your theoretical learning is supported with strong hands-on experience with EMT theory (self-study and in-class) and labs, clinical rotation, ambulance practicum and hospital practicum. All are meant to give you practice in critical incident stress management and clinical skills.
In the fire concentration... a fire station practicum supports your practical knowledge and professional qualifications as a fire department vehicle driver, fire inspector, public fire and life safety educator, and fire service instructor.
Note: The program runs from February through to the next February including the practicum component.
