Emergency Services Technician Selection
Entry into the EST program includes a competitive selection process. Every applicant who submits all of the required documents will be invited to Lakeland College to participate in the selection process.
This includes:
- written testing—math, science, English, reading comprehension, mechanical aptitude, medical
- physical fitness assessment
- a personal interview.
The results of each test are compiled and all applicants that meet or exceed our benchmarks are invited to attend. In other words, the selection process is competitive but does not have a quota. We do not accept a certain number of students; we accept all suitable students.
