Learn the art of making someone feel great by promoting wellness as an important part of health care, using specialized skin care treatments, and addressing beauty, anti-aging and stress issues. You’ll learn about the anatomy and physiology of the skin, diseases and pharmacology, epidemiology and nutrition. Your knowledge will help you design solutions for your clients.
You’ll learn to do manicures and pedicures, facials, body treatments and body waxing, makeup artistry, lash and brow tints and relaxation/hot rock massage.
You’ll develop communication skills for consultation and analysis that are essential to assessing needs for advanced and alternative skin care and other treatments.
The Lakeland Advantage: Your learning will be in two venues--in the classroom and in the new on-campus wellness lab (spa). You'll have an opportunity to practice your new knowledge and skills with real clients in a spa-like setting.
