Provide care where it's needed
As our society ages, there is more need for health care aides. Lakeland College is addressing that need by reviving its Health Care Aide Program in September 2011.
This is an earn while you learn education. The program is offered in a 24 week part-time delivery schedule. You'll attend classes Friday, Saturday and Sunday, leaving the rest of the week free for a job.
You'll learn in the classroom and through hands-on experience during the clinical practicum. Graduates are qualified to work in environments with people who need individual care such as Alberta home care settings, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities and centres for persons with developmental disabilities.
Note: Cohorts of this program likely won't be available every year. Lakeland College anticipates offering another cohort in the next 2 years.
