Lakeland College student Jenaya"I truly am inspired by the hard work and wholehearted effort of the staff and instructors in our program and at Lakeland College in general. I cannot thank them enough for the dedication and caring attitude they portray to all the students. They want you to succeed and bend over backwards to help you achieve things you didn’t believe were possible.”

"I enjoyed every moment of my time at Lakeland College. The staff is friendly, the campus is well located, and the Interior Design Program is exceptional. I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested in Interior Design. It is worth every challenge, every penny, and every second of one’s time for two years."

"My time at Lakeland College has not only provided me with the skills I need but all the personal habits to succeed. We are taught great time management skills, and every situation is dealt with in a professional manner. In the last semester of study here, we are required to dress professionally once a week as part of a course called professional practice. This exercise helps us become comfortable in what we will need to wear the work force.

The course is also helpful in teaching us what to expect in the workplace as far as ethical issues and creating personal and professional goals. During this time we put together our portfolios and developed a resume and cover letter. These documents set us up for our practicums as well as future job prospects."

"Lakeland College has been an incredible experience for me. Coming from many small towns in Saskatchewan, where my largest class consisted of 32 individuals, the small class sizes were like being home.

After taking university classes of up to 300 students, Lakeland’s dynamic was a great change. Here, you are more than just a number; you’re a student with a name, and your instructors care.

This is an intense program, but the satisfaction is unbeatable."

"I found the environment very creative, having other creative people around you…I think it opened me up to idea I had previously by-passed—like places to look for inspiration and different ways of finishing materials. I’ve recommended Lakeland College on more than one occasion. It is an intense work load, but the friendships and skills I picked up are worth it. I can speak knowledgeably about different periods of time in relation to design and architecture, furniture, etc. Just being allowed to let your creative juices flow is very fulfilling."
