Exploring Exceptionalities View More ∇
This course will introduce students to children with exceptionalities by examining categories and characteristics of diversity. Students will explore issues pertinent to children and youth with exceptionalities and their families.

In addition to completing HS115 Exploring Exceptionalities, students will also complete the following high school CTS credits:

Play View More ∇
Play is a 1st year course in the Early Learning and Child Care program and an additional course in the Child and Youth Care program. Students will explore the significance of play in the development of child.

Early Learning & Child Care certificate and diploma programs can also be taken completely online.
Environmental Sustainability View More ∇
Students who are interested in a career in environmental sciences will benefit from Environmental Sustainability. A requirement in 4 of Lakeland College’s Environmental Sciences majors, this course focuses on human interactions with the environment. 

In addition to completing SC140 Environmental Sustainability, students will also complete the following high school CTS credits:

Introduction to Heavy Oil & Gas View More ∇
This course will explain what heavy oil is and identify ways heavy oil is produced. Students will also explore what oil and natural gas are used for and how the oil and natural gas process is started by the drilling of the well. 

In addition to completing HL101 Introduction to Heavy Oil & Gas, students will also complete the following high school CTS credits: 
  • PRS1020
  • PRS2020
  • PRS2030.
Introduction to Esthetics View More ∇
Get a taste of what is involved in being an esthetician. Learn how to develop a professional image and practice skills you'll need to work with the public.  This course also includes an overview of workplace safe practices related to bacteriology and sanitation. 

In addition to completing HS160 - Introduction to Esthetics, students will also complete the following high school CTS credits:
