Bachelor of Science (Human Ecology) – Lloydminster Campus

Improving Where & How We Live

A short definition of human ecology is the branch of sociology that studies the characteristics of human populations. What does that mean as a career?

You'll gain a scientific understanding of human behaviour and the dynamic relationship people have with their environment including their natural, social and constructed environments. Your goal is improving quality of life for people where they live.

Eventually you can major in family ecology, or clothing, textiles and material culture.

At Lakeland, you'll take 30 credits--1 year--of required courses. See the courses page for details.
