The drop downs below show some of the possibilities at 3 universities.
However, we do have transfer agreements with other post-secondary institutions in both provinces and many transfer options exist for other routes.
Note: Completion of University Transfer courses doesn't guarantee you admission to degree programs at universities.
- You must also meet all the admission requirements of the degree-granting institution. This may include appropriate high school courses and averages.
- Admission is competitive. There may be quotas for number of students admitted to the degree program at the receiving institution.
- Some receiving institutions specify a minimum grade for transfer credit.
- If you change a program or receiving institution, be aware that there may not be room in the new program.

You can't go directly into BComm at U of A. One year of pre-professional study is followed by three years in the Commerce program. The first-year pre-professional requires are ENGL 112; EC 111/EC 211, MATH 113, STAT 151 and 6 to 12 elective credits. This is a total of 24-30 credits. If you apply to transfer after one year of study, you are eligible for the U of A's cohort program that matches groups of students together for their core courses. If you choose to transfer after a second year at Lakeland, you would transfer as a non-chort student and follow your own program of study. Normally your courses at Lakeland for the 2nd year would be a combination of UT and business courses. This would include: AC 130/230, BA 120, BA 440/BA 540; BA 640, LA 180, MK 170 and electives. For more details about the Commerce degree and cohort vs non-cohort transfer, contact the U of A directly: Phone: 780 492 5773 or 1 866 492 7676 Email: bcominfo@ualberta.ca Or visit their website at: www.business.ualberta.ca |
