The Teeth Have It
Have you been known to check out people's teeth and promote flossing as a way to good health? You just might be a candidate for dentistry. You can start you post-secondary education with one or two years of what is known as pre-professional years of study at Lakeland College before transferring to complete your degree.
While there are specifically required courses – in a science program, you can choose courses in different subject areas as long as you take all the required pre-requisites.
You must also take the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) administered by the Canadian Dental Association. Visit www.cda-adc.ca/dat for more information.
