Come look at us!

There's a standing invitation to visit our campuses! Request a tour, come be a student for a day and meet or contact one of our enrolment specialists.

However, we also have a series of information sessions held through the year. Some are specific to programs and schools such as Ag-Citing held every March, or the series of University Transfer (UT) info sessions.

Agricultural Sciences - Vermilion - March 14
Ag-Citing (Agricultural Sciences) - March 14. It's also Little Royal Weekend March 14-16 including Western Canadian Judging Championships, Stockman's Club Shows, ranch rodeos and intercollegiate Little Royal Rodeo.

Fire & Emergency Services - online - May 21
Ignite your career with a online workshop featuring Lakeland's firefighter training and the emergency services technology programs. The session will run from 5 to 7 pm (MDT). Registration details coming soon.
International Development Certificate April 15 & April 17
Our brand new program will start in September. Come to a session either April 15 in Lloydminster or April 17 in Vermilion to learn more about the one-year post-diploma/degree program. In the second semester you'll go on a 4-week international internship.

Human Services - Vermilion - March 3
March 3, 2014 is the date for the Human Services program orientation Human Services Preview.

Programs include Child & Youth Care, Early Learning & Child Care and Educational Assistant.

The day will include tours, information sessions, meeting instructors and generally learning more about Lakeland and your chosen program.

On March 13, American Sign Language & Deaf Culture Studies and Sign Language Interpretation programs will be part of the Alberta School for the Deaf Open House in Edmonton.

If you miss either day of our Oct. open houses, you can still get in on an information evening:

After an opening information about Lakeland College at 6:30 pm, there will be breakout sessions for all the Lloydminster campus programs including:

  • Continuing education including artificial nail technician, GPO, power engineering and oilfield training

No pre-registration required. Prospective students, applicants, parents and counsellors are all welcome.

At 7 pm breakout sessions will be held to discuss the programs. See the details below.

  • Starts at 6:30 pm with a general welcome to Lakeland College and information about our programs, student services, scholarships and more. The general welcome will take place in the Servus Credit Union Lecture Theatre, 2nd Floor.
  • Breakout sessions at 7 pm for the program areas (see drop-down menus for further information on the program specific breakout sessions)
  • Prospective students, applicants, parents and counsellors, as well as the general public, are all invited to attend. No pre-registration is required.

Following the general welcome at 6:30 in the Servus Credit Room Lecture Theatre, you may attend the break-out sessions at 7 pm. Tours of the nursing labs will be part of the agenda.

Sign Language & Deaf Studies - March 13
On March 13, American Sign Language & Deaf Culture Studies and Sign Language Interpretation programs will be part of the Alberta School for the Deaf Open House in Edmonton. The school is located at 6240 - 113 Street.

6:30 pm - presentation and introduction to the Sign Language programs. Room TBA
7:30 pm - Q & A session with students, grads, staff and employers. You'll also have an opportunity to apply.

Interior Design - Vermilion - March 21
The first Design-citing will be March 21 on the Vermilion campus. Learn more about our award-winning interior design technology program. Bonus: Some tips on your creative project that's part of the admission process.
Street Rod Technologies - Vermilion - March 21
Get fired up about your career...Learn more about our street rod technologies programs. Includes a tour of the SRT lab and a look at current student projects.
UT Group Advising Days 2014 - Lloydminster
Students who have applied and been accepted to Lakeland's university transfer program can take the next step in their university education at one of 3 UT Group Advising Days.

  • Fri. March 7  will look at science degree routes as well as pre-professional programs such as pharmacy, vet med and U of S nursing
  • Thurs. March 6 will look at becoming a teacher
  • Fri. April 25 will look at other popular transfer routes including arts, social work and business.
