Alberta Union of Provincial Employees - Supporting Lakeland for Years

Alberta Union of Provincial Employees supports the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees Bursary.

This award was established in 1986 and is awarded to a full-time student at Lakeland College who meets the following criteria:

1. Displays financial need

2. Displays satisfactory academic achievement

3. Members of AUPE in good standing with one consecutive year of membership are eligible, retired members and or their spouses, their financial dependent children and dependent children of deceased members. All dependents must be under the age of 25 years.

4. Consideration will be made for a past AUPE member who enrols full-time in post-secondary education within the first year following elimination

5. Priority will be given to applicants who have not received this award previously

Students interested in this award must apply with application forms made available by the Financial Aid and Awards Office with final selection made by the Awards Committee.

The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees is Alberta’s largest union, representing people who work in many different fields. The majority of AUPE’s members work in the public sector.
