Claude Gallinger Memorial Fund is responsible for the Claude Gallinger Memorial Bursary.

The Claude Gallinger Memorial Bursary was established in 1966 and is awarded to students enrolled in full-time studies at the Vermilion campus, who meet the following qualifications or conditions:

1. The student shall be in the first year at Lakeland College studying agriculture. Application for the bursary may be made prior to or during the said first semester.

2. The student shall establish to the committee’s satisfaction that he or she is industrious and of good character.

3. The student must establish that he or she is reasonably in need of financial assistance. In this connection, a married student shall receive preference and the award shall not be made by the way of substitution for financial assistance which such student might otherwise obtain elsewhere.

4. Subject to the foregoing the award shall be paid to the student or students selected in such manner and at such time or times as the committee may decide.

Students must apply for this award and application forms are made available by the Financial Aid & Awards Office by October 15. The final selection made by the Awards Committee and presented at Awards Night at the Vermilion campus.
