Research Collaborations & Applied Research
Lakeland College seeks to establish strategic partnerships with corporations to create mutually beneficial relationships between industry and our programming. These alliances build upon complementary strengths and needs in recruitment/hiring, financial aid for students and research collaborationsAt this time we are seeking industry partnerships for applied research projects in the field of environmental sciences or agriculture to enhance our current and future initiatives.
Our recent success stories in the applied research area include:
- several projects in the renewable energy sector
- an extensive project with multi stakeholders in the sheep industry on lamb carcass quality
- Our comprehensive college farm provides the capability of developing agricultural related projects in many areas.
- The new renewable energy cabin is being used for applied research and as an on-line learning lab for the Renewable Energy and Conservation certificate program.
