- weekly practices with access to an indoor heated riding arena and a 34-horse stabling barn at Vermilion campus
- build and improve horsemanship and stockmanship skills, and to meet new people
- participate in and organize six competitions with the following events: cutting, reining, feedlot sorting, cattle team penning and cattle team doctoring
