BlackBerry

If you're having trouble figuring out how to access the Lakeland College wireless network with your BlackBerry phone or playbook, we can help. Just follow the steps listed in the drop downs below or print BlackBerry wireless instructions as a pdf.
BlackBerry phone
To find your Media Access Control (MAC) address,
  1. Click Options
  2. Click Status
  3. Scroll until your find WLAN MAC which is your BlackBerry's MAC Address
  4. Use your MAC Address to fill out the Wireless sign up sheet and return it to Information Technology in BB208 in Vermilion or 2026 in Lloydminster. Please allow IT up to 24 hours to process your wireless access request before continuing with the following steps. 
  5. Go to your home screen, select Manage connections.
  6. Select Setup WI-Fi Network and then select next.
  7. Select Scan for Networks.
  8. If asked to do so, turn your Wi-Fi ON.
  9. Select the Wi-Fi named LLCWireless.
  10. For the pre-shared key use lakeland and then select connect.
  11. Select Next and then finish.
BlackBerry Playbook
To find your Media Access Control (MAC) address,
  1. On the home screen, tap the Settings icon on the status bar


  2. Tap Wi-Fi on the left menu


  3. Tap the Wi-Fi symbol at the bottom of the screen


  4. The Physical Address is your Blackberry Playbook's MAC address
  5. Use your MAC Address to fill out the Wireless sign up sheet and return it to Information Technology in BB208 in Vermilion or 2026 in Lloydminster. Please allow IT up to 24 hours to process your wireless access request before continuing with the following steps.

  6. On the home screen, tap the Settings icon on the status bar.

  7. Tap Wi-Fi on the left menu, if it is off, turn it ON.

  8. From the list of available networks, tap LLCWireless.


  9. Tap Don't use WPS.

  10. For the password, type in lakeland and tap connect.
