Forms can be submitted via email to or dropped off at the student services office.
If you need some extra financial help, Lakeland College has several bursaries.  Application forms are available mid-Oct to mid-Nov annually.
The application period for 2018/19 bursaries has now closed.  Please check back in October 2019.
Note: If you ​are selected for a bursary you'll be notified. You'll receive your funds in January, after your first semester GPA and second semester enrolment ​are confirmed.
January awards
Lakeland College offers many scholarships and awards in January to recognize outstanding achievements of currently enrolled full-time students.
Recipients are selected through a process of either faculty recommendation, nomination, or by application. Final approval comes from the awards committee.
Application forms for January scholarships and awards are available the first day back in semester 2.

Year-End awards
We offers a select number of awards and scholarship in March to:
  • recognize achievements of students who are returning to post-secondary studies the following year either at Lakeland College or other specified institutions
  • acknowledge graduating students who have excelled at Lakeland College 
 Recipients are selected through a process of application or nomination, with final approval by the awards committee.

Application and nomination forms for these awards and scholarships are available online from mid-March to mid-April each year.

CIC Aboriginal Bursary
The Crown Investments Corporation of Saskatchewan (“CIC”) has made a partnership funding agreement with Lakeland College in support of the CIC Aboriginal Bursary.
5 Scholarships values at $5000 each are available yearly to students at Lakeland College who are Saskatchewan residents, Aboriginal, and enrolled in the following programs:
  • Accounting Major
  • Accounting Technician
  • Business Administration Certificate
  • General Business Major
  • Marketing Major
  • Small Business & Entrepreneurship Major
Environmental Sciences
  • Conservation Restoration Ecology
  • Environmental Conservation & Reclamation
  • Water Conservation & Management
  • Wildlife Fisheries Conservation
  • Bachelor of Applied: Environmental Management
Student must be an entering or continuing full-time student at Lakeland College, with a minimum entrance high school average of  70% or a college Grade Point Average (GPA) of 70% (B-/ 2.7 average).  
Students must apply.  The application is made available by the Financial Aid & Awards Office in the Spring annually. 
(A second application period occurs in late fall for students starting school in the Winter term, and/or who wish to apply for the Winter term disbursement only.)
The 2018/19 ​Winter CIC Aboriginal Bursary application is now available!  Deadline to apply is Dec 15.

Indigenous Careers Award - Deadline Oct 31
Available to students of Indigenous ancestry (including Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) who are:
  • Canadian citizens and residents of Alberta.
  • Enrolled full-time (minimum 60% course load).
  • Studying in one of the following program areas at Lakeland College: Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Interior Design, Street Rod Technology, Educational Assistant, Early Learning & Childcare, Child & Youth Care, Business Administration, Energy & Petroleum Technology, and University Transfer.
  • Displaying satisfactory academic achievement.
NOTE: Proof of Indigenous ancestry is required

Metis Scholar Award - Deadline Oct 31
Available to Métis students enrolled full time in any certificate, diploma, or university transfer program.  Recipients must meet the following criteria:
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the previous college semester, or if they have no previous college semester, maintained an average of 70% in their previous year of full-time study.
  • Be Canadian citizens.
  • Provide proof of Métis heritage.
  • Submit a letter explaining why receiving a Métis Education Foundation Métis Scholar Award will benefit them in achieving their educational goals.
