Financial Aid & Awards

Government Student Loans

Government student loans may be available to you. Eligibility is based on financial need. You may also qualify for grants.

All loans, whether federal or provincial, are administered by provincial governments. You apply through your province of legal residence (permanent address).

These government student loans are interest-free while you're at school, plus you don't have to start paying for six months after you finish.

Contact the Financial Aid and Awards Office for help in determining your eligibility, or find your province in the list below. You may also want to start with the CanLearn site. It includes lots of information about funding your education, loans, scholarships, grants and costs.

Apply early. Processing may take up to six weeks.
