Health Services

Living away from home can be difficult especially when you don't feel well. But, with Lakeland College’s Health Services, your road to recovery will be much easier.

All medical services are strictly confidential and Lakeland's Health Services provides friendly and caring assistance in a safe environment.

Care & Services

Nursing care and health consultation services provided include:

  • First aid
  • Health education
  • Birth control counselling
  • Immunizations
  • Health awareness programs
  • Information resource base
  • Injuries
  • Single dose non-prescription medications
  • Sexually transmitted disease testing
  • Female health exams

Registered Nurses
If you are ill, injured or have health related questions, Lakeland College’s on-campus registered nurse can help. Health Services is located in the Black Box Theater area in Lloydminster and by Student Services in Vermilion.

Lloydminster campus
  • Office is located across from the Black Box Theatre.

Doctor's Clinics

  • The Vermilion doctor's clinic will be every 3rd Monday of the month in Health Services.
  • Please see student services for list of walk-in clinics in Lloydminster.
  • Check the Lakeland App for doctor clinics dates on both campuses.

    Student Health Insurance

    Visit Health Services if you require assistance or more information on the following:

    • Blue Cross application forms
    • International students’ visitor health care plan
      Extended Health & Dental Care Coverage

      Extended health and dental care insurance is available to Lakeland College students through the Students’ Association. The cost of this plan is included in your registration fees, however, if you have coverage under a family member’s plan, you may apply to waive benefits.

      If you are a mature student with a spouse or dependants, family coverage is available.

      Student Injuries & Accidents

      If you become injured at Lakeland College, we can help. We provide:

      • Mandatory reporting
      • Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) filing. Note: Students injured during class time or on a school field trip are covered under WCB.
