Western Tractor Company Inc., a 4-store John Deere dealer located in Southern Alberta, is searching for a full time Precision Ag Specialist to join our growing John Deere agricultural equipment group at our Lethbridge location. Western Tractor is located at the center of an irrigated agricultural area that is known for
the variety of specialty crops that it produces. Responsibilities and Duties
Support the organization and coordination of Western Tractor Precision Ag department including sales of Value Added Services (VAS) and Agricultural Management Solutions (AMS) hardware, installations, maintaining, training, diagnostics, repairs, miscellaneous FieldSmart (minor agronomic) support and customer satisfaction.

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic - Lloydminster (LLT)
 
The Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
- Read diagrams/schematics for successful completion work procedures
- Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment
- Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance work
- Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations
- Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators, or apprentice maintenance personnel
- Troubleshoot to determine cause and effect of mechanical failures

Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a fully licensed mechanic
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required
- Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5
- Heavy Equipment Technician will be an asset
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Physically fit – heavy lifting required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Pederson Heritage Farms is located near Bromhead, SK and is looking for a full-time John Deere Agricultural Mechanic. They are a progressive 12,000 acre farm that grows wheat, durum, canola, mustard, peas and lentils. This family farm has a 50' x 100' heated shop to work in and has a team of four full-time employees as well as four part time employees.

What You'll Do:
•Repair and maintain John Deere equipment.
•In season work may include operating machinery.
•Off season work includes moving snow in the oilfield, loading rail cars and much more.
•There is plenty of work for the right individual!
•What You'll Need:
•Mechanically inclined and experienced working with John Deere equipment.
•A team player attitude but be able to work independently.
•A strong work ethic.
•Ability to weld.
•Class 1A license is an asset.
•CPR and H2S training is an asset.
•Pederson Heritage Farms is flexible with time off during the off season and they do not work on Sunday's.

Heavy Duty Mechanic

Description:
The Heavy Duty Mechanic will report directly to the Shop Foreman - District Service Line. The primary function of this position is to address mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components of Sanjel Energy equipment.

General Responsibilities:
•Complete refurbishments and updates to existing Sanjel equipment
•Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment
•Check equipment for proper performance
•Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required
•Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
•Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
•Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment

Qualifications:
•Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (Class 1 Preferred)
•Alberta Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal or equivalent
•Thorough safety knowledge and practice
•Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pumps
•Electrical wiring capabilities
•CVIP License
•Mechanical training in the oilfield industry is considered an asset
•Driven, engaging individual who is a team player and can offer strong problem solving skills
•Candidates with Military/Canadian Armed Forces experience are encouraged to apply
