New nurses ready to care

In real life, every day is graduation was the wisdom from the speaker at the recent 2008 Lakeland College practical nurse graduation. Speaker Dr. Dorothy Ryan, now in Ontario, was one of their instructors when the group started the PN program two years ago. Usually the program starts in September, but this group started in January due to the program's popularity. At the ceremony the 13 graduates received recognitions from Lakeland College , College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) and NorQuest College. The PN diploma program is brokered at Lakeland through NorQuest College.
