Move-in Day Fri. Sept 2 View
Move-in runs from  9:30 am to 3:30 pm on Friday, September 2, 2011.

You’ll start at our student services in the main teaching building. The main campus address is 2602-59 Avenue. Take College Drive (60th Avene) from Highway 16. Watch for signs along the way, as well as when you arrive on campus.

For students staying in residence over the long weekend, the RAs have lots of fun activities planned!

Be prepared for paying fees, or bring your student loan documents.

You'll be directed to the residence village from here. Be on the lookout for move-in buddies who will help you get your stuff to your dorm.
First Night for everyone View
Your very first rez meeting is the very first night you’re here. Residence assistants (RAs) will lead you over to the main campus for the 6:30 pm meeting.

Don’t miss your official rez orientation and a chance to meet fellow students. Icebreakers, house meetings and some surprises will be coming your way.

This is for both new and returning students.

  • ...what not to bring View
In order for Residence to be a safe place to live, there are some items you are not allowed to bring with you.
Print this list as a pdf.

  • Illegal substances such as drugs.
  • Firearms of any type aren’t permitted in residence—and leave the ammunition at home, too. Includes paintball and pellet guns, bows/arrows, hunting knives and explosive/flammable devices.
  • Small cooking appliances, microwaves, fridges or freezers are not permitted in your room. Fridges are provided in the common spinwheel kitchens. Small appliances can be used in the dorm kitchens, but there is limited room.
  • Pets and fish are not allowed on residence grounds or in rez buildings.
  • Room heating devices such as small heaters. This is a safety precaution because of the fire potential. You can adjust the heat in your room.
  • Candles, incense, fireworks and sparklers. If you have to light it—then don’t bring it. And remember there’s no smoking anywhere inside residence buildings.
  • Bottles of beer. Don’t get excited, beer is allowed in residence. Unfortunately glass bottles break in places like sidewalks and parking lots and broken glass is dangerous. So, if you’re buying, pick cans. Thanks.
  • ATVs and other off-road vehicles such as snowmobiles.

Download and print as a pdf.

  • Zero tolerance policy View
You will be required to sign a zero tolerance policy (pdf) that outlines unacceptable behaviors and actions.
Violations by you or your guest(s) will result in eviction.

We encourage you to pay all your residence fees by August 27. This will save you a lot of time in the move-in day line-up, and could also get you a month's free rent in the second semester. Your name will be entered in our draw if you pay by August 27.

You should be contacted about your move-in day and your fees for the first semester before the end of July.

Make sure you go to the first night orientation meeting--the draw is then and you have to be there to win.
