Rez renos continue
Nearly 30 years of wear and tear have made their mark on the residence village and renovation became a necessity to the tune of a multi-year, multi-million dollar project. Lakeland College's board of govenors recently approved a three-year $9 million renovation project.

In spring 2008 Zeta became the first of the nine buildings to start its four-month transformation and students started the new year academic year in the refreshed and new look building. Work went so well in Zeta that Gamma was started in summer 2008. Sigma followed.

Currently renovation work is underway in Alpha, Beta and Theta. Theta is the first of the L-shape dorms to undergo a reno.

The first step renovation step is removing things such as bathroom fixtures and carpets. New wiring permit ssmall fridges in rooms. The renovation will include new doors, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, heating system, some windows and a fresh coat of paint.
