Travel to Canada

The quickest way to travel to Lakeland College from abroad is via air. The closest international airport is in Edmonton, with the airport code of YEG. Our campuses are another 2.5 to 3 hours by vehicle to our campuses.

In most cases, you will likely arrive in another major Canadian city before Edmonton and have to go through customs and immigration there. Please make sure you give yourself enough time to clear immigration before your connecting flight.

Arriving from Asia
All flights will likely first arrive at the Vancouver International Airport before you continue to Edmonton.

Arriving from Europe
While there are a few select direct flights to Edmonton, you may have to connect via Montreal, Toronto or Calgary.

Arriving from Mexico or South America
Most flights will connect via a major US hub such as Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Salt Lake City or Minneapolis.

Arriving from the Middle East or Africa
You will likely travel through Europe or the US before connecting to a flight to Canada.
