When should I request an interlibrary loan?

Books

When searching for a book, be sure to search the NEOS library catalogue from the main Lakeland College Library webpage. If you locate your required book in the catalogue, you can request the book at that time.

If you are unable to locate your required item, you may request it via interlibrary loan. We will try to locate the item for you at another Canadian library and request it on your behalf. Interlibrary loans may take up to 6 weeks to arrive, depending on where the item is coming from. Click here to request an interlibrary loan.

Articles

When searching the databases, not all articles listed will be available in full text. If the article you wish to locate is not available in full text, click the  FindIt button below the article to be redirected to the interlibrary loan request page. You will need to sign in to this page using your 13 digit library card number and PIN.

Articles generally take 7-10 business days to arrive. If you have a current email address on file with the library, you will receive message letting you know when your article or book is available for pickup.
