Obtaining a library card

Your Lakeland College Student ID card is also your library card. You must have your Library card with you each time you wish to check out a book.

Borrowing privileges

Students may borrow from any of the NEOS consortia libraries, either by requesting a book via the catalogue or by visiting the library in person.

Accessing the library catalogue

You may access the library catalogue from the library web page:  http://www.lakelandcollege.ca/library.
Use the 'Catalogue Search' box to search for items.

On-line Databases

You may access all of Lakeland College's on-line resources directly when working on campus.

Remote access is available using a Lakeland College Library barcode number and PIN. Your PIN is typically the last 4 digits of the phone number you gave when registering. If you do not know your PIN, follow the on-screen instructions located at What is my PIN?  

If you have any difficulty, please contact the library circulation desk. 

Interlibrary Loans

If you require materials not available from within NEOS or the on-line databases please access the on-line form.  Follow the on screen instructions.

Please allow 7-10 days for your material to arrive.

Research Assistance

Please ask any staff member for assistance with:

  • searching the catalogue
  • searching the databases

Please contact the Public Service Librarian on either campus for assistance with:

  • research assistance for assignments and papers
  • developing a research strategy

TAL Cards

All students are eligible to obtain a TAL card. Please contact the library for assistance.

Photocopying & Faxing

You may photocopy in the library at either the Vermilion campus or the Lloydminster campus.  Before you can photocopy you MUST purchase a photocopy card at the circulation desk. The cards are available for

  • $5.00 (33 copies),
  • $10.00 (66 copies)
  • $20.00 (133 copies

The library does NOT refund partially used cards.  Fully used cards should be returned to the library for recycling.
