Professional Accounting Course

Learn:

Learn the skills required to become an accountant. Get a solid basis in accounting principles and theories including financial accounting, management and cost accounting, and income tax plus general business courses.

Live The Learning:

Learn to prepare a complete set of manual and computerized accounting books and financial statements. You'll use Simply Accounting software, prepare several accounting cases, and develop and prepare financial statements for a small business. Other hands-on learning includes strategic planning, control and monitoring of financial activities, and following required regulations for income tax, source deductions and sales taxes (GST & PST).

    Second-year business students at the Lloydminster campus took on the role of a marketing research company in January to conduct a research project for their CO 231 communications class. Their client: Lakeland College. The purpose of the hands-on project is to
    identify strengths and opportunities that would enhance students’ experiences on-campus. The students will present their findings April 14 and 16.
