Live The Learning:

Hands on is the only way to learn American Sign Language. You will practice in the classroom and participate in events during your course work, so you will learn in educational and community environments.

The Lakeland Advantage:

This program is offered by Lakeland College in collaboration with the University of Alberta, Edmonton campus.

You will learn from experienced, accredited instructors. Along with learning sign language, this certificate program also covers the history, current trends and issues in the deaf community.

Live Your Career As A

This certificate is a first step in becoming a professional interpreter. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a professional interpreter, it is highly recommended you take the Sign Language Interpretation Diploma. Skilled interpreters are in high demand.
