Lakeland College's bull test station has officially operated since 1984. It has been both a practical laboratory for students and a service to farmers.
This service won’t be available in 2011-12. As part of a new initiative to expand industry research, the college will be conducting livestock feed efficiency research in the bull test facilities.
During this transition year, college staff and researchers will install the GrowSafe technology and learn how to use it. From there, appropriate research and test projects will be developed. The college will continue to work with the purebred industry and purebred producers as we integrate the technology.
