Men's Volleyball Signs Two Big Talents
Coach Daryl Ford is very excited with the off-season recruiting so far. Ford is excited to announce two of his signings for next season. Sean Renaud and T.J. Swerdilyak.
Sean lives in Spruce Grove and is graduating this year from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Sean has played for the STA Thunder for the past three years as a setter. In Sean’s grade eleven season his team won three tournaments in Fort Saskatchewan, Beaumont, and Edson. The team also traveled to Hawaii for an international tournament where they placed third and finished the season winning the bronze medal at 3A Provincials. In his grade twelve year, Sean was a leader on a rebuilding team. The team lost in the playoffs at the zone championships to Barrhead, who went on to win 3A Provincials. Sean is currently playing for Westlock Volleyball Club, who he has played with for the past three seasons. Sean looks forward to playing for the Rustlers in the upcoming season.T. J. comes from Libau, Manitoba, and attended high school at Lord Selkirk Regional High School where
Coach Ford looks to build a contending team for the 2011/2012 season and with these two additions as well as several other key recruits that will be named later, It looks like he has done just that.
