Dombrova Back For 5th and Final Year
Brett Dombrova, a fourth year Left Side for the Rustlers Men's Volleyball Team, has agreed to return to the team for his fifth and final year. Brett brings a wealth of experience and on court leadership skills to the team. Last season he led the team in kills and was second in aces served. His addition will greatly strengthen the attack from the left side of the court.
Other players returning to the team for next season include setter Matt Merilainen from Pigeon Lake, Alberta, who stands 6'3”. In his second year he is expected to provide experience and maturity at the setting position. Also returning are two second year left sides, Mike Hunter from Roblin, Manitoba, and Brady Dinwoodie, from Elton Collegiate near Brandon. Hunter, who stands 6'0”, is a solid passer and works hard with his serve. Dinwoodie who stands 6”3” brings a strong work ethic to the team and is working to reach his full potential.
Also returning to the team is two of last year's middles. Kendall Albert who hails from Prince Alberta, Sask., is a second year middle who stands 6'5” and showed marked improvement in his rookie year. He will be looked upon to establish a strong presence in the middle. Nick Williams is also in his second year and hails from Virden, Manitoba. Williams stands 6'3”. Last year was a learning year for Nick as he learned to deal with the pace of the game. We look forward to see his continued improvement in the upcoming season.
