Lakeland starts by recognizing your first anniversary

You are a member of a team, and a family, that is committed to our students and our community. Because everyone is valued, Lakeland has a long tradition of recognizing service.

For many years long-service awards evenings have been part of Lakeland life. These long-service awards start at 10 years of service. We've given these out to people for as many as 40 or more years of service.

The evening also recognizes retirees.

You don't have to be getting a recognition award to be part of the evening. All staff is invited to join the celebration. Usually festivities include long-time retirees, and the evening can have the flavour of a family reunion.

Long service isn't the only way employees are recognized. Recognition has been formal and informal. Our past has included Green and Gold awards for everything from innovation to service.
