Snowmobile Safety Training

Wildlife biologist Chris Olsen became a Lakeland College instructor in 1994. He has taught environmental sciences students for nearly a quarter-century.
He leads field labs in the backcountry of Alberta’s diverse landscapes where he once did research and environmental impact assessments.
He also teaches ATV rider and bear awareness/avoidance courses for continuing education as well as a number of other safety courses for Lakeland students.
Currently he’s also a faculty advisor for the Outdoor Recreation Club. His hobbies include nature photography, hiking, birding and Nordic skiing. He’s also a member of the Vermilion River Naturalists Society.
