Student-Environmental Consulting Office (S-ECO) - Overview

S-ECO’s primary goal is to conduct and complete environmental projects on college land. Elements of both project management and communications courses fit into this leading learning opportunity.
The initial 3 projects will continue in the 2017-18 school year. Those projects are:
- Emergency Training Centre (ETC) remote site
- Ongoing monitoring sites
- ALUS Canada project demonstration project
As well, S-ECO students raised funds and got a grant to travel to Sri Lanka. They toured the Mahaweli Development Project. This large multi-purpose development project includes hydroelectric power, flood control and irrigation.
