Be on the front lines of health care in less than year.

As our society ages, we need more health care providers. Be part of the solution by becoming a certified health care aide. . Our program has been updated to match the updated Alberta government health care aide curriculum. One change is an additional workplace practicum.

Earn while you learn. Our program is full time, but classes are on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays during the day. Some classwork is also online. That leaves the rest of the week free for your current job.

You'll learn in the classroom and our health care labs. Then put your hands-on knowledge to work during the clinical practicums.  Your 3 practicums, 320 total hours, are full time and could involve shift work.

As a grad, you're qualified to work with people who need individual care in:
  • home care settings
  • long-term care facilities
  • assisted living facilities
  • centres for persons with developmental disabilities
