American Sign Language and Deaf Culture Studies - Overview
Gaining both skills and knowledge are the dual benefits of our ASL Deaf Studies program.
You don’t just study signed language. You’ll study history, current trends and issues in the Deaf community. As well, learn how to be a hearing ally.
A pilot full-time face-to-face ASL program starts in Fall 2019. If successful, it will run again starting in Fall 2021. Courses are also available part-time (evenings) and online. The next part-time cohort starts in Fall 2020.
Your skills and knowledge can go to work in educational and other community settings.
Go a step further, and become a sign language interpreter. We offer a diploma program.
