Set a your career as a welder in motion with Lakeland’s pre-employment welding program. It only takes 12 weeks.
You’ll learn skills and grow knowledge through classroom work and a 4-week practicum.
This training is the same as what first year welder apprentices receive. Just like them, you’ll spend about half of your technical training building and improving your welding skills.
When you complete the pre-employment class work, you can challenge the 1st
year Alberta welding apprenticeship exam. If successful, you have two
more years as an apprentice. Check our
welder page for details.
Your work practicum gives you more of what it means to be an apprenticeship with required on-the-job hours.
