Applicant FAQ in COVID-19 Crisis
You probably have questions if
- you’ve been accepted
- you’ve been conditionally accepted,
- you’ve applied to Lakeland
- you're thinking about applying.
First, we are planning for a new academic year starting in the fall.
Below are some common questions we're getting and the adjustments we’re making due to COVID-19 restrictions.
If we haven't answered your question, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
High School Marks
These conditions only apply to second semester marks.
If your province provides percentage grades, you will need to meet the minimum required grade for your program. Check the requirements page for your program for details. You'll see a listing like this.
If you aren't from Alberta, check the provincial subject equivalencies.
If your province provides Pass/Fail grades, we will assume that a pass meets our minimum requirement even if the minimum requirement is above 50%.
If you are an Alberta student who chooses not to write diploma exams, your acceptance will be based on your school provided grades.
AHT & VMA Work Experience
Don't worry if you haven't begun your work experience hours or can't complete them due to COVID-19.
Your seat in the program is safe.
In the months ahead, once it is safe to do so, please reach out to your vet clinic to reschedule your work experience.
It's our hope that you can still gain this valuable exposure to the work that happens in a vet clinic before you start your program in September.
Once the crisis is over and circumstances don't allow you to do work experience, please contact our admission team at email@example.com. We'll make that note on your file
