Alumni Events
Support for Lakeland College comes in many forms.
Our annual events are an excellent opportunity to network with community, industry leaders, alumni and friends. Support from alumni and community members at our events ensures students have the best post-secondary educational experience at Lakeland.
Feast on the Farm |
Your Feast on the Farm experience Lakeland College's rural roots and open farm days in Alberta were two inspirations for Feast on the Farm. We hold this event at the Research Centre. It's a combination of outdoors and inside a tent. The meal, raffle and/or auction, and entertainment all are under the canvas. Proceeds from Feast on the Farm support and enhance student-led learning at Lakeland. This includes scholarships as well as support for student-led activities across all of our programs. |
Alumni Weekend |
Come back to campus
Share your college stories, favourite memories, and life events with your classmates and fellow alumni at Alumni Weekend. Since the 1930s, this event was known as Homecoming. Most organized activities are social. This includes class luncheons and the traditional Saturday evening banquet and dance. This event was christened the Rose Ball after WW2 and includes a grand march by class year . While all alumni are welcome to attend, classes celebrating significant anniversaries are encouraged to mark that event. We celebrate from the 10th through 70th anniversaries. Once you reach your 50th anniversary, you join the 50+ fraternity. Learn more about this year's event on the Alumni Weekend page. |
Rustlers Golf Tournament |
Tournament history
Our annual golf tournament started in 2012. As an important contributor to the Rustlers Golf Tournament you help our student athletes reach for their goals while they help others reach theirs. Your support will go directly to supporting teams who earn a spot in the Conference (ACAC) and National (CCAA) Championships. Register for the 2024 Rustlers Golf Tournament. |
Lacer the Racer Alumni Golf Bash |
Your experience
This golf bash at the Vermilion Golf & Country Club is nine-holes followed by a steak dinner. You don't need to be a golfer. This event is all about fun and fellowship. You can choose to golf or not. The get-together typically continues at the Vermilion Fair. About Lacer the Racer Funds raised at the event go to the Lacey Longworth Memorial Award for Lakeland student-athletes. In particular, the award goes to members of the rowing crew. |
Alumni and Industry Mixers |
Lakeland Alumni & Industry Mixers are a chance for alumni to reunite and reminisce with instructors and classmates.
We are excited to celebrate your successes and share the latest Lakeland news with you. With socials throughout Western Canada and one in Arizona, we hope you are able to attend!
