What's open and closed

  • Campuses are still closed to the public. Please see our new campus access guidelines.
  • The public is asked to phone the college (1 800 661 6490) for assistance rather than visit our campuses. See our department contact list.
  • Campus libraries are closed and staff are working from home. The libraries will remain closed until Jan 21.  If you have questions about library services or resources, email

Extended Alberta government restrictions

Lakeland’s enhanced COVID-19 protocols will remain in place until at least Jan. 21, 2021, as per Alberta Health Service’s provincewide extension.
On-campus labs, lectures and other activities are resuming according to a staggered schedule throughout January. Students were sent emails with the details for their program. All the information is also in the the January Class Schedule tile below.
President Alice Wainwright-Stewart has recommended no off-campus program activities be scheduled for January.

Additional COVID-19 restrictions on campus

The following enhanced measures are in effect until at least Jan. 21, 2021.
  • Face coverings must be worn in all indoor public places unless you are working alone in an office.
  • Indoor and outdoor social gatherings are prohibited.
  • Our recreation facilities and libraries at both campuses are closed. Computer labs and IT services are available to students.
  • The Equine Centre is only available for purposes related to academic programming and for students by appointment. All open riding times and club activities are cancelled until at least Jan. 21.

Working from home

Working from home is mandatory unless you must be on campus for operational effectiveness. Please discuss this with your supervisor. Decisions about who is required to work on campus are made on a case-by-case basis.
